Give it up for dork talk

I’m loving Stephen Fry’s weekly gadget column in Saturday’s Guardian, Dork Talk. Before he came out in the blogsphere and started writing this column it was a little known fact that Mr Fry is “deeply dippy for all things digital” and was the proud owner of the second ever Mac sold in Europe. Each week he picks a new topic be it social networking, smartphones or his loathing of plug ins. Whether you’re a non-techy or a techy he’s got a knack of putting all things technical into context.
My favorite post so far has been his interview with Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the Web. How I wish I could have been a fly on the wall at that one. Being two of the most intelligent and fascinating people walking the planet I can’t help thinking that Mr Fry and Mr Berners-Lee may have met their intellectual matches from the proverbial other side of the tracks: arts versus science. Yet art is science and vice versa.
Anyway, I’ll not keep you any longer you have Mr Fry’s blog to keep you busy now…
