The Air Force’s Robot Pilot
The Air Force has debuted a robot that can fly an F-16 fighter jet. The aircraft was developed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The plane, known as the “Aircrew Labor In-Cockpit Automation System” (ALIAS), is designed to assist with air traffic control and radar.
The idea is that the robots would replace human pilots on bombing missions, which could potentially reduce the risk for military personnel while increasing the accuracy of strikes. Aerodynamic controls and gyroscopes would be used for steering the plane while sensors could be used to detect threats like missiles.
An Unmanned Submarine Hunter
The submarine hunter, developed by Boeing and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), is capable of autonomously following a submarine for long periods while using super-quiet electric propulsion. The drone can also carry out missions such as mine-laying and intelligence gathering.
It can be used in the same way that airplanes are used to search for unidentified vessels, but of course, this drone doesn’t need to come back to port. Instead, it is remotely controlled from an installation onshore and can hunt submarines indefinitely.

In the military, information is power. And with the advent of cutting-edge technology, information can now be sent to and from your missions with little problem. Rugged mission computers or standalone rugged PC, are used by the military to perform several tasks. For starters, rugged mission computers are used in battle.
They allow soldiers to send and receive information and communicate with their colleagues during combat. Since the military is a global organization, computers are also used to maintain cooperation between various branches in the armed forces. Most armies and navies use special computer systems for this reason.
Self-guiding bullets are designed to improve muzzle control and accuracy by correcting the shooter’s aim after firing, similar to how an inertial guidance system on a ballistic missile is programmed to self-steer during flight.
Although still in the testing phase, these missiles are designed to maneuver in midair, enabling a novice shooter to make shots that would normally require expensive training and practice. In theory, every soldier could be trained on shooting proficiency alone. Interestingly, they can alter their direction to seek out a target even if the initial shot was missed.
Anduril Industries’ Interceptor
In this iteration, pre-programmed algorithms take the place of human guidance systems. It can be networked with small surveillance drones that operate independently or in conjunction with larger armed drones like the Predator, firing on targets without any help from humans. What if the target is moving, though? The Interceptor has you covered there, too: It can track a target and guide itself between obstacles like buildings and trees.
If a target flees into a building or takes some sort of cover, it will not hinder this device because it is designed to keep going until it is dead.
A hypersonic missile is a weapon-delivery vehicle that travels at speeds of Mach 5 (about 3,812 mph) or higher. No current or planned ballistic missile defense system can intercept it. Hypersonic missiles can hit an adversary and they could deliver a knockout blow. The technology is progressing quickly and some experts worry a new arms race could be in the offing.
Smaller Naval vessels like destroyers and frigates crave the spotters that aircraft carriers provide with their fleet of jets, helicopters, and drones. Although several small unmanned aerial vehicles are now in use, the challenge of deploying and returning them in rough seas and on limited decks has hampered their use on the water.
The idea is to produce an aircraft that can fly on its tail to fill the gap. It is lifted into the air by two propellers that rotate in opposite directions.
